Full sponsorship of tuition fees and living expenses incl. accommodation during entire duration of studies
Program Khas JPA‑MARA (PKJM) is a sponsorship scheme for high‑achieving Bumiputera Malaysian students who have completed Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM). The programme is a collaboration between MARA and JPA, designed to support promising students in pursuing preparatory courses and/or first‑degree studies at approved institutions locally or abroad.
PKJM aims to nurture future talent by offering financial support and access to quality higher education in fields such as engineering, science & technology, business, social sciences, and related disciplines. It helps eligible students — particularly those from underprivileged or modest backgrounds — access education that might otherwise be difficult to afford.
Successful PKJM recipients get their tuition fees covered, and depending on the agreement may receive additional support. The programme offers a pathway for SPM leavers who meet academic and other eligibility criteria to pursue tertiary education without the heavy financial burden upfront.

- The applicant and at least one parent must be of Malay/Bumiputera descent and a Malaysian citizen.
- The applicant must be free from chronic, infectious, or recurring illnesses, and medically fit to complete the course of study.
- The applicant’s parent(s) must not be blacklisted or under legal action by JPA.
- If awarded the JPA sponsorship, the applicant cannot receive any other financial aid or sponsorship for the same level or programme of study.
- The applicant must have sat for the latest SPM examination for the first time, either in a secondary school or as a private candidate.
- The applicant must be below 19 years of age, or below 20 years of age for transition (peralihan) students, as of 31 December of the SPM examination year.

Note that the sponsorship under PKJM is initially provided in the form of a convertible loan (“Pinjaman Boleh Ubah – PBU”). Under certain conditions (e.g., after completion of studies and fulfilling required service obligations), the loan may be converted into a full or partial scholarship.
